About Galaxy S6 Edge+

The Galaxy S6 Edge+, which is a larger version of the S6 Edge, was unveiled beside the Galaxy Note 5 at the second ‘Samsung Unpacked’ event, by Samsung Electronics in August 2015, and went on sale in 20 countries that same month. Like the Edge, the S6 Edge+ has an HD screen that curves around onto the sides of the handset. The principal differences between the two models are the size and weight of the phone, and the size of the HD display. The S6 Edge+ is roughly half an inch taller, slightly wider and a few grams heavier than the S6 Edge, with a 5.7” screen as opposed to the 5.1” on the S6 Edge.

In addition to the curved HD display, the S6 Edge+ has other features which are similar to the S6 Edge, incorporating mobile payments, wireless charging, fingerprint scanner, and a 16 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and tracking autofocus. The Edge+ also lacks user-expandable memory or a user-replaceable battery, and is not water and dust proof. Having said that, the S6 Edge+ is popular with users who appreciate the larger easier-to-read display, and the curved screen edges, which not only look good, but show alerts to texts and incoming calls even when the phone is face-down.
