About Galaxy Note 3

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was announced on 4th September 2013 as the successor to the Galaxy Note 2, and was made available for sale worldwide later that same month. This Android smartphone, or phablet, had a different appearance from previous models in that it was produced with an imitation leather covered back, complete with faux stitches, and a metal-effect bezel. It was also thinner (0.33”) and lighter, with a redesigned stylus (S Pen) and a navigation wheel for operating pen-enabled apps. This model also featured pop-up apps and multi-window capabilities.

Initially available in white, pink and black, Samsung also made the Galaxy Note 3 available in certain regions in alternative colour schemes of black/gold trim, red/silver trim and white/rose gold trim. This phablet proved very popular indeed; 5 million were sold within the first month, and a further 5 the next month. The Galaxy Note 3 was replaced by the Galaxy Note 4 in 2014.
